Three things it does fast: ground soft pink, sharpen linen, wake living room. The low sun sits at the centre of the picture, so the whole wall gains a warm glow without you changing a single lamp. Hang it above a sofa or a low sideboard, centred, at roughly eye level when you are seated — the wide horizon needs a bit of clear wall either side to breathe. Pair it with linen or bouclé seating, pale wood, cream wool and one or two simple stoneware pieces. Keep the surrounding surfaces uncluttered. What not to do: crowd it with strong graphic prints or hard black metal nearby, which flattens the soft light and turns the pink chalky. On fine-art paper the brushwork and cloud detail stay crisp and matte.
