Against walnut, the soft blue-grey reads less sweet, more deliberate. The old paper tone warms up the wood rather than fighting it, and the bird's sharp downward angle gives a still corner something to look at. Rooms that already lean quiet gain a bit of character without gaining noise. Hang it at eye level above a desk, a chest of drawers or along a hallway where people pass close enough to see the fine engraved lines.
